Electric heat generators
Heat pumps, from the factory to the grid
Every topic hits me at once. Where are they solved?
The device type that carries the most requirements today: telemetry, subsidy eligibility, grid connection and prediction.
Everything the platform does applies here
Heat pumps are the device type that the most requirements act on at once. They are electric, they are subsidised, they are controllable loads, and they are the focus of current research.
What applies only here
Grid services. Controllable loads need an interface to the grid operator, in Germany under § 14a EnWG, in Austria under the EAG. That affects electric heat generators and nobody else. Grid services
Subsidy eligibility in Germany. Since July 2026, metering and an interoperable interface decide whether a heat pump qualifies. Without the subsidy, hardly one sells at present. Staying eligible
Prediction. The research project HYDRA investigates physics informed AI for heat pumps. HVACloud is its data basis. Research and edge AI
What is the same for everyone
Connectivity over the built in controller protocols, factory and field commissioning on the same configuration, visualisation, your own apps under your brand, alarm management and tenant administration. Plus the Cyber Resilience Act, which affects every connected product.
The areas that go with it
Connectivity
HVACloud connects controllers, meters, inverters and room devices over seventeen built in protocols, EEBUS included, with discovery, a data point editor and template applications.
Read onGrid services
HVACloud offers grid operators APIs for load shedding and load shifting, meeting requirements for controllable consumption devices.
Read onResearch and edge AI
Predictive maintenance, anomaly detection and degradation analysis on the telemetry HVACloud already collects. Cloudia in the cloud, Cloudia Edge on the device.
Read onVisualisation
Web HMI and local HMI with 22 ready made widgets, animated plant schematics, a time programme editor and energy flow and COP displays.
